Boring Mill Operator
Shifts Available: 1st,, 2nd, & Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Position Summary:
Responsible for setting up and machining weldments of all sizes in a timely manner, while maintaining exceptional quality.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and machine weldments per print quickly and accurately
- Fill out any necessary inspection worksheets
- Maintain little to no re-work or scrap
- Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes
- Keep work area clean and organized
Experience / Skills:
- 5 – 10 years’ experience as a machinist
- Prior experience setting up and operating boring mills preferred
- High attention to detail and quality
- Able to read and interpret blue prints
- Understand basic GD&T call-outs
- Able to accurately use standard machinist measuring tools
- Able to setup and run “one-off” parts to print quickly and accurately
- Able to keep work area clean and organized
- Must work well under pressure
- Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills
