Boring Mill Operator

Shifts Available: 1st,, 2nd, & Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Position Summary:

Responsible for setting up and machining weldments of all sizes in a timely manner, while maintaining exceptional quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and machine weldments per print quickly and accurately
  • Fill out any necessary inspection worksheets
  • Maintain little to no re-work or scrap
  • Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes
  • Keep work area clean and organized

Experience / Skills:

  • 5 – 10 years’ experience as a machinist
  • Prior experience setting up and operating boring mills preferred
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Able to read and interpret blue prints
  • Understand basic GD&T call-outs
  • Able to accurately use standard machinist measuring tools
  • Able to setup and run “one-off” parts to print quickly and accurately
  • Able to keep work area clean and organized
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills
